Before you start
Use the access and features actually assigned to your account. Keep a rollback or recovery route before changing existing service settings.
Steps
- Verify the vault hostname before opening security settings.
- Enroll a supported factor and keep its seed or recovery codes private.
- Test a new sign-in while preserving access through the current session.
- Keep a separate recovery method so losing the device does not remove every path to the vault.
Verify the result
A fresh sign-in requires the factor and the protected recovery method remains usable.
