Steps
- Check free space and identify the site files, database and necessary configuration.
- Use the available backup controls and copy the result to a protected separate destination.
- Verify the archive and record its date, scope and integrity hash.
- Arrange an isolated restore before relying on the backup. Full cPanel account restoration may require hosting support or WHM.
Verify the result
The restored copy starts and required application functions work. Keep encryption keys and recovery instructions separate from public website storage.
