SIP credentials belong to the endpoint and must not reuse a human account password.
Before you start
Use the access and features actually assigned to your account. Keep a rollback or recovery route before changing existing service settings.
Steps
- Use the exact assigned server, username and encrypted transport settings.
- Keep required TLS and SRTP enabled. Do not accept unverified certificates.
- Confirm registration without exposing account secrets in logs or screenshots.
- Test the authorized calling path, background operation and reconnect behavior.
Verify the result
Registration and a real call pass with the required transport and media protection. Do not change E911 settings as part of troubleshooting.
