Before you start
Use the access and features actually assigned to your account. Keep a rollback or recovery route before changing existing service settings.
Steps
- Confirm that an instance has actually been provisioned and assigned to your account.
- Obtain its approved address, operating system, login user and host-key fingerprint.
- Keep a separate recovery path and backup destination before placing important data on it.
- Complete networking, update and isolation checks before installing a customer workload.
Verify the result
The assigned instance and recovery route work. A product preview or image template is not a provisioned VPS.
