Domain registration, DNS hosting and website hosting are separate services. A domain change can affect both the website and mail.
Before you start
Use the access and features actually assigned to your account. Keep a rollback or recovery route before changing existing service settings.
Steps
- Record the current registrar, nameservers and website/mail records before editing.
- Confirm the exact domain is attached to the intended hosting account.
- Use the target records supplied for that service; do not copy another customer domain configuration.
- Validate website and mail behavior after propagation before removing previous records.
Verify the result
The domain reaches the intended website and existing email still functions. A website-only check does not validate mail routing.
